Evaluation
Initial screening and ongoing evaluation is done to determine present functioning level and progress.
Work preparation
Programmes where workers participate in work tasks and group discussions to develop their work abilities.
Training
For a specific skill or job, usually arranged with training facilities in the community e.g. Trade school, Department of Manpower.
Placement
After completing our advanced work programme, suitable workers are prepared for placement in the open labour market or even senior positions inside Christ Steytler Industries. Successful trainees are then placed on a three month trial basis and if they meet the requirements, they are promoted to a permanent position.
Follow-up
Regular contact is maintained with the 'placed worker'.

Workers - What is the focus of the programme?
Our focus is to enable a disabled worker to learn and to fulfill the role of worker. Workers acquire skills and attributes that characterize a good worker, which they otherwise would not have had. These include:
Personal presentation
Adjusting to a work situation and presenting oneself with confidence; the need for punctuality and regular attendance is stressed.
Social presentation
Getting along with coworkers, relating to supervisors, becoming a valued team member and handling criticism
Work competence
Applying oneself to the task in hand, problem solving, and the use of initiative.
Work tolerance
Enduring and handling of stress.
